Dr. Alexandria Hooks

My name is Dr. Alexandria Hooks, DNP, and I’m the founder of Hooked on Wellness Consulting PLLC in San Antonio, Texas. I provide personalized care with faith-based principles integrated with evidence-based lifestyle medicine from a whole-person approach— mind, body, and spirit for optimal wellness.

I was raised on a country farm, which shaped my practical, grounded approach to health and my appreciation for hard work and simple, sustainable habits. Patients often tell me they feel genuinely heard with me and never rushed. That matters to me because I believe great care starts with listening and ensuring patients have longer appointment times to provide safe and comprehensive care that people need and deserve.

At my clinic, I specialize in medically supervised weight management and offer affordable Direct Primary Care for individuals and employee groups, hormone replacement therapy, vitamin injections, and executive wellness exams, with both in-person and Texas wide telemedicine options. My mission is to give you clear high quality, thorough medical care that addresses the whole person versus a disease or body system. In doing I strive to improve health literacy, education, share realistic strategies, with shared decision making, compassion and grace so you feel empowered to take charge of your health with confidence and become the best version of yourself—mind, body, and spirit.

Rome Hooks is the Clinic Manager and go-to problem solver at Hooked on Wellness Consulting PLLC. With a background in business entrepreneurship, project management, and business administration, Rome excels at keeping operations running smoothly, from technical troubleshooting and financial management to daily clinic logistics and customer service. Known as a jack of all trades and right-hand to the founder, he brings advanced skills in staff coordination, regulatory compliance, and patient relations. Rome’s proactive, can-do attitude ensures every challenge is met with professionalism and care, making him an invaluable asset to the clinic and the patients we serve.

Ashville serves as the Executive Partner at Hooked on Wellness Consulting, bringing over five years of administrative expertise and a strong commitment to operational excellence. With a professional background as a Board-Certified Radiologic Technologist, she holds a deep respect for clinical accuracy, data privacy, and the patient-centered values that define our practice.

Driven by a spirit of service, Ashville manages our behind-the-scenes logistics, complex scheduling, and digital communication with precision. She is dedicated to streamlining our operations so that Dr. Hooks and the team can focus entirely on delivering high-quality, whole-person care to our community.

Adam Patesel, owner of Alamo City Digital, serves as the Marketing Director for Hooked On Wellness Consulting PLLC. With a background in digital marketing, creative direction, and brand development, Adam excels at elevating the clinic’s online presence through strategic advertising, targeted content creation, and modern web design. His expertise spans social media strategy, video production, and digital storytelling, helping communicate the clinic’s mission of wellness, education, and patient empowerment.

As a results-driven strategist, Adam focuses on creating clear, engaging campaigns that connect with the community and support long-term patient success. His collaborative approach and dedication to growth make him a key contributor to the clinic’s expanding reach and overall vision.

Steven Patterson is a Bible-based Christian counselor with a heart for guiding others through life’s challenges using the timeless wisdom of Scripture. With a Diploma in Bible from the Southwest School of Bible Studies, Steven brings a deep understanding of God’s Word to every counseling session. For over 35 years, he has been blessed in marriage, raising a daughter and a son, and cherishing three wonderful grandchildren. Steven has faithfully served as a Gospel Preacher in three congregations across Texas, Pennsylvania, and Oklahoma, gaining broad experience in ministering to individuals and families. Steven’s approach is rooted in Scripture, focusing on helping you discover God’s guidance for your unique situation; never offering personal opinions or feelings, but instead pointing you to biblical truths. He creates a welcoming and safe environment, upholding strict confidentiality and following all privacy and HIPAA guidelines. His calm presence and unwavering faith provide reassurance and hope, no matter what you’re facing. Steven believes that every person’s story matters and that God’s Word holds answers for every season of life. Through compassionate listening and thoughtful application of Scripture, he helps you find clarity, comfort, and renewed purpose.

Obed Pineda is a Bible-based Christian counselor who enjoys serving others with God’s rightly divided Word.  Obed has been teaching, preaching, and providing Scriptural counseling for more than twenty years.  He was mentored by brother Rodrigo Renteria (who was an Evangelist for over forty years at the Galena Park Iglesia de Cristo in Houston, TX) for about thirteen years until his passing.  During his training, Obed was in charge of teaching the youth group, a non-converts class, a new converts class, and preaching and teaching from the Bible at several congregations in Houston and nearby surrounding cities where he was blessed to gain much experience and wisdom from above.  Obed is fluent in Spanish and English and has been blessed to present the whole counsel of God in both languages in several cities, states, and countries for more than twenty years.  He is currently the Evangelist for the Southeast Church of Christ in San Antonio, TX since 2015, one of the organizers and teachers for the Enhanced Bible Studies hosted at the Northern Oaks Church of Christ in San Antonio, TX, and one of the devotional instructors for the South Texas Institute of Christian Education in Schertz, TX.  Obed’s aim in ministering to his fellow men and women is to assist them to search the Scriptures properly for the answers they are seeking.  It is his mindset to be nothing more than the point man; the man who points in Scripture where to read, study, and analyze what does the merciful and loving Father instruct.  It is his goal to help assist anyone ready to search in God’s entire Word the guidance that will lead to undeniable Biblical truth.  He seeks to establish a genuine connection with people by creating a welcoming ambience with honesty, humility, and a genuine desire to search all of the Scriptures together with you for clarity, renewed direction, and renewed strength found in the power of His Gospel.  Obed brings an experienced ear trained in listening intently and compassionately with the intent to make thoughtful application from the Bible accordingly with each situation, wholly committed to strict confidentiality in accordance to privacy and HIPAA guidelines.  Obed is a firm believer in the power found in the whole counsel of God to help any person ready to place their cares upon God “for He cares for you” (1st Peter 5:7).
